Peter Casebow and Jay Cross in conversation

Peter Casebow has recorded a skype conversation between himself and Jay Cross about learning and performance.

Don't expect slick production and such like - expect a conversation. That's what it is.

Increasingly, I would say we need to learn to regard resources like this as valid constituents of our learning experience. There isn't always time or money to repurpose material and make it shiny.

Karyn, thanks. I distrust anything too shiny. Peter's and my talk was totally unscripted, unrehearsed. Two of my favorite words there days: transparent, authentic.

@Jay "I distrust anything too shiny"... and therein lies our challenge, our disconnect. We might like the idea of off-the-cuff learning materials, but the client tends not to trust things that are not shiny enough.

Perhaps one way to get the thin edge of the change wedge in is to include "unscripted, unrehearsed" resources under the umbrella of a very shiny front end.

Karyn, thanks for picking this up and we'll certainly not win any Oscars, but hopefully our passion for the topic and ideas comes through.
